2 days of drift drift drift!!

I have been waiting a long time for this: http://www.skylimitdrift.be/

Another 5 days and then it's time for notstop TWO day drift action!

When I first singed up for the event, I didn't expect it to get THIS big!

And the best part of it......an entry of 100 euro for both days.

Since my car is still a street car, and it's waaaayy slow, I signed up for the beginners comp.
This is being held on a small cones circuit and is free riding on both days. And a little competition on sunday with some graded runs. No tandem/battles.

The big boys go the usual competition route, free runs/ quali on saturday. Battles on sunday.

Onto setting up the car:

I was hoping to get the tracktion brackets and front strutbar by now...but the homos at the Dutch customs like to keep your stuff just laying around in their warehouse...for 2 weeks or more.

So I just made some little changes. Put on a pair of 195/45/15 Goodyear F1 tires up front to clear the extra lock with the NCRCA's. I had the tires rub against the inner chassis parts and brake line with the 195/50/15.

And took the rear seat out. Mainly to be able to fit some more wheels and tires in the car.

Other than that, nothing changed...haha.

Going to meet up with some friends tomorrow....maybe some streetdrifting.
Need to check if the car runs/drifts smooth.....I like being smooooooth!!

And some more pics of my little rustbucket, took them with my cheapo Fuji s5700 cam and tripod.

1st post!

So I started a blog just to have a excuse/distraction from my studies..

I love doing stupid stuff, cars, drifting, bikes, skateboarding, music....a lot of stuff.
Unfortunately I'm not got at any of those.

But hey, ... they keep me busy through the day.

For the past couple of years I've been mostly busy with cars.*

read: "I've spent most of my money on cars".

I currently have a AE86. Bought it in January 2007.

This is what it looked like:

Basic parts:
New clutch
Cusco 2way LSD
Tokico HTS shocks
GC & TRD springs 7-6k
6point bolt in cage
Bride Zeta II seat
T3 panhard rod
15x8 -20 and 14x8-10 wheels.

Came out like this:

The engine and gear ration are stock, it barely spins the tires....no smoke clouds for me.
