Tricks

When twin drifts start to get boring
you can always do something like this
to make it a bit more fun:

"Parts" update.

Got some window visors from Randy last week.

Cool!

And a pair of GOLD RRC Motorsports stickers!

Plus I made my own shiny sticker.

Origin event - Meihan

Can't get enough of those entries.

The Looking ae86 is in there too.

Pocket Dyno.

You can get this FREE app from the App store.
Using the iPhone accelerometer and gps it can record acceleration & 1/4 mile times and estimate wheel HP.

The only tricky part you have to get right, is the weight of your car.(fuel, passengers etc)

DIY iPhone holder: tomtom windshield mount + 3 rubber bands.
Works great.

Tap to start:

Did 3 runs and got almost identical measures.
Stock 4age Levin.
110whp.

A bit optimistic. I don't know the exact weight of my car.
Had it set on 1050kg. But it's probably less, which would make the whp a bit less.(think about it, makes sense.)

Tried it with a s13 last week and got 192whp.
That sounded quite right since he should have about 220hp.

Shoes

I love my new shoes.

Leather sole...pretty slippery...almost fell a couple of times...looked quite stupid..haha.

Poster making 101

Always wanted a poster of something cool you saw?

Here's a simple how to.

Take a pic of whatever you like.

I for instance saw this newspaper add of this girl and HAD to have her on my wall.

So I took a phone pic:

Then went to http://homokaasu.org/rasterbator/ and downloaded the program.

Now open any picture you want, choose a size(I did a 3x3 a4) and you get a printable PDF file.

All that is left to do is print the pages and stick them on your wall.

The result:

Last weekend

Got together with a couple of friends last weekend to hit some spots.
After an hour at the first spot I wanted to try my buddys S13.
I've had my stock powered ae86 for 2 years now and forgot how real power feels.

Man....what a difference.
The setup was pretty basic:
-ca18det t25
-intercooler
-exhaust
-chip

But even with "just" 220hp The car drifted on half-throttle with ease.
In the ae86 I need to clutch kick every 2 seconds just to keep the wheels spinning. Ugh..

I managed to make two runs...and by the time I went in for the third run...the cops came by.........oops!

Luckily enough they just asked us to leave...phew...

So we went to another spot where we had some more fun.
Another buddy of mine borrowed my set of r33's and put them to good use.
The tire was pushed all the way to one side..haha

I managed to dismount it today and threw a "fresh" set on.
Had to use the old brake cleaner trick to get them on.
Always fun to do. :D

So..after the "s13 experience" I REALLY need to get a turbo car next.
I wanna smoke tires like greasy bacon on a bbq.

Oh yeah..
some local groupies came to take a look. :)

More crashes

You'll see a lot of familiar faces (or cars) in this one.
Like:
Hariguchi
Utsumi
Fukuda

and
Dousan from Pink Godzira.

How cool is that...making it onto an option video!

Enjoy.

Ryota Yuasa.

Drifting is fun, whether you're behind the wheel, riding shotgun
or just waving your hands along the side.

The best part of it are the CRASHES!!

And this guy is the best at it.

The next video features Yuasa in rounds 1-4 of the 2002 D1 season.

He managed to pull it off every time!

For some reason not known to me, he traded the Levin
for a C33 after round 4 '02.
And stopped competing at D1 after round 3 2003.
